How do I get started?

As a fully bespoke service, DataFort Deluxe commences with a consultation process to establish your requirements.

DataFort will provide up to 2 hours free consultation to broadly specify your requirement. More complex requirements may require additional consultation. This will be charged at an hourly rate. Please note that free consultation services are provided on the understanding that we become your outsourced security partner.

Following your consultation we’ll present you with a proposal detailing costs and our recommended approach. Once you’ve agreed to proceed we’ll provide you with the service terms and conditions and a proposed Statement of Work.

Some of the options we provide you with may include:

  • Full system backup and recovery
  • Redundant connectivity
  • Backup of multiple operating systems
  • Advanced reporting features
  • Management of backup for many laptops in the field
  • Multiple business sites
  • Data archival
  • System replication
  • Compliance issues

After we’ve received payment of your refundable security deposit, we set an installation date, or series of dates, and the accounts are carefully brought on line, tested and setup to run and report on backup progress.

If the system needs to be fine tuned this is usually completed within the first month of service.

The whole process is then managed via your bespoke backup appliance. This will become the control centre for your security package and the local repository for full system backups, managing data traffic and controlling the selection compression and encryption of data.

Data recovery

In most cases recoveries take place directly from the appliance. But in situations where the appliance is no longer available – fire, flood, theft, etc - data is recovered remotely from our secure data centre.
